The plot is non-linear, and there are multiple endings that depend on the quests you completed earlier. The Marked One will have to learn more about himself, Strelok, The Zone, and its mysteries. All that remains of his past is a memo that says “Kill Strelok”. You play as the Marked One, a stalker who lost his memory.
The "stalkers" in this world are the explorers who wander The Zone in search of valuable loot.

After telling Berwen you will help her, each time you talk to her without having killed the stalker, her disposition towards you drops by two points.Berwen will not trade unless the stalker is dead, so killing it is useful whatever your situation.(You will get Journal entry 89 if you kill the stalker before getting the quest Hrundi requires Journal entry 90 which can only be obtained by talking to Berwen after getting the quest.) Whether or not you are a member of the Fighters Guild, if you kill the corprus stalker before getting this quest from Hrundi you will need to talk to Berwen again after Hrundi gives you the quest in order to obtain the correct Journal entry needed to finish the quest.Doing this quest early will not prevent you from getting any of Hrundi's other Fighters Guild quests.The quest will remain open in your Journal, however you cannot close the quest unless you are a member of the Fighters Guild (or use the console).
